Currants Organic
Currants are basically dried grapes which is dark red in colour and is seedless. This is often referred to as Black Corinth grape. These grapes are dried to produce a black sweet flavoured fruit.
Cultivation of these grapes was originated in south of Greece on the island of Zante hence Zante currants are used in the US.
The name currant comes from the ancient city of Corinth. Other names for currants are Zante currants, Corinth raisins, or Corinthian raisins. In the UK and Ireland, they are simply called currants.
