Ground Black Pepper
This black pepper is conveniently pre-ground and ready to use. Black pepper is used in many cuisines for sweet and savoury dishes.
The dried, black unripened berries of Piper nigrum, have a warm, pungent aroma and spicy flavour.
The spiciness of black pepper is due to the natural chemical piperine.
How to Use:
Add ground black peppercorns to recipes for salads, sauces, slow-cooked hot pots, soups and stock.
For something different try a little black pepper in dessert recipes. Great in a chocolate mousse or brownies. Marinate fresh strawberries in a dash of balsamic vinegar with a little black pepper. Or sprinkle a pinch over a fruit salad and toss.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
