You can create sprouted Mung Beans that are ready to eat within around 48 hours. You can soak them in a bowl of water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Once you have drained and rinsed the soaked Mung Beans, you then cover them with a cloth or a suitable kind of mesh and secure the cover with a plastic band. You will need to rinse and drain these beans twice a day until they are ready to cook. When cooking with Mung Beans immediately without sprouting them, you will still need to soak them for at least 3 hours before cooking, so preparation is critical. Once soaked, they can be added to your recipes for soups, hotpots or cooked on their own and then added to salads, burgers or other recipes. You can create Mung Bean paste to create traditional recipes by blending the cooked Mung Beans until they are creamy, adding sugar or other additions to achieve different flavour palates.
