Organic Black Rice
Before cooking, rinse black rice under cold water and then drain well. Bring the rice to a boil in a pot of water at a ratio of 2 cups of water to every 1 cup of rice. Leave the lid on and reduce to a simmer for at least thirty minutes until the water is all absorbed. Before serving, let the rice stand for another fifteen minutes before serving. Black rice takes longer to cook than white rice but you can reduce that time by pre-soaking the black rice in water overnight or for just a few hours before cooking.
Store fresh Organic Black Rice in a secure and airtight container in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunshine.
