Organic Red Rice
Before cooking, rinse black rice under cold water and then drain well. Bring the rice to a boil in a pot of water at a ratio of 2 cups of water to every 1 cup of rice. Leave the lid on and reduce to a simmer for around at least thirty minutes until the water is absorbed. Before serving, turn the heat off and let the rice sit for another five to ten minutes before serving. You can pre tenderise the rice by soaking it for at least half an hour before cooking with it at a ratio of 1:2.
Store fresh Organic Red Rice in a secure and airtight container in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunshine.
