Bay leaf or bay laurel is one of the well recognised culinary leaf-spices in use since the earliest times. Bay leaves give off a pleasant and sweet aroma when added to dishes. Wilted and dried leaves are strongly aromatic – the fragrance is slightly floral and somewhat similar to oregano and thyme – and can be stored for months.

Dried Bay Leaves are used in a variety of culinary dishes, including ethnic foods such as Indian, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. To infuse the aromatic flavour of bay leaves, add them to your cooking and remove before serving.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
